  1. Minke Whales are a species of whales found in the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean.
  2. Distinctively, they have pointed heads and a white band on their flippers.
  3. There are two subspecies- The Common Minke Whale and the Antarctic Minke Whale.
  4. The common minke whale is the smaller of the two subspecies and is also known as the dwarf minke whale.
  5. They grow to an average size of 5m and are found in the northern part of Atlantic and Pacific Ocean.

  7. The Antarctic minke whale grows to be almost double the size of the common minke whale.
